Frequently asked questions

Everything parents usually want to know. If your question is not here, just get in touch.

Is it safe for my child?

Safety comes first in everything we do. Sessions are online on a platform we control, a written transcript of every session is shared with you, tutors are carefully chosen and reference checked, and there is a safeguarding contact you can reach at any time. You can read the detail on our safeguarding page and in our safeguarding policy.

Won’t using AI just make my child lazy, or help them cheat?

That is exactly the problem we exist to solve. There is a lazy way to use AI that quietly does the work, and a way that genuinely helps a student learn. We teach the second one, using AI as a study partner that quizzes, explains and challenges, so your child does the thinking and keeps the marks they earn. You can see how on the how it works page.

Which AI tools do you use, and do we need to buy anything?

We work with the everyday tools students already have access to, such as Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini and ChatGPT. You do not need to buy any special software. We also teach students to use these tools safely, including turning off data-sharing settings and never entering personal information.

What year groups and subjects do you cover?

We work with students from Key Stage 3 through GCSE to A-level. What we teach is study skill rather than a single subject, so it improves every subject at once, not just one. Where a student needs support in a particular subject as well, we match them with a tutor who knows it well.

How do the group AI Study Clubs work?

An AI Study Club is a small group of friends, usually three to five, who learn together at a reduced rate per student. It is a relaxed and motivating way to build good habits as a group. You can bring your own group of friends, or ask us and we will help.

Is it online or in person?

All of our tuition is online, which keeps it flexible and easy to fit around school, and means your child can learn from home. Sessions run on a secure platform with cameras on.

What happens in the free consultation?

It is a short, friendly conversation, around twenty minutes, with no obligation. We get to know your child’s needs and suggest the right approach, whether that is one-to-one sessions or a study club. Nothing is booked until you are happy. You can request one on the enquiry form.

How are your tutors vetted?

Every tutor is reference checked and given a safeguarding induction before they work with any child, and chosen as much for their values as for their teaching. Our approach is designed by Dr Joe Watkins, an AI specialist and former mathematics lecturer.

What about my child’s data and privacy?

We collect the minimum we need and keep it secure. We teach students not to put personal information into AI tools, and we never use your details for advertising. You can read the full detail in our privacy policy.

Can I see what happens in a session?

Yes. You are always welcome to sit in, and you receive a written transcript of every session. We will even show you how to analyse those transcripts with AI, so you can see exactly how your child is getting on.

Do you guarantee better grades?

We would be wary of anyone who promised that. What we can promise is that your child will build genuine skills and confidence with the tools that now shape how everyone studies and works. Better, more independent study is what leads to better results.

How much does it cost, and how do we start?

You can see our indicative rates on the pricing page. There are no contracts and no joining fees. The best place to start is a free consultation, which you can request through our enquiry form.
