1. Who we are

Study Smarter with AI is a tutoring service provided by Grassroots Intelligence. We are the data controller for the personal information you share with us. If you have any question about this policy or your information, please contact us at joe@grassroots-intelligence.com.

2. The information we collect

When you send us an enquiry through our website, we collect the details you choose to give us, which are your name, your email address, the student’s stage of education, what you are interested in, and anything you write in your message. We do not ask for, and would prefer you not to include, sensitive personal information in an enquiry.

If you go on to work with us, we will hold the information we need to provide tuition safely and well, and we explain how we handle safeguarding information in our safeguarding policy.

3. How and why we use it

We use the information in an enquiry only to respond to you, to arrange a free consultation, and to provide the service you ask for. We rely on your consent when you choose to submit an enquiry, and on our legitimate interest in responding to it. We do not use your information for advertising, and we never sell it.

4. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, and no longer than is necessary. If you would like us to delete your details sooner, just ask.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell or trade your information. We use a small number of trusted service providers to run our website and communicate with you, such as our website host and our email provider, and they act only on our instructions. We will only share your information with anyone else where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect a child, as set out in our safeguarding policy.

6. Children’s information

We work with children and young people, so we take particular care with their information. Enquiries usually come from a parent or carer, and we ask that they are the ones to contact us. We collect the minimum we need, keep it secure, and treat it with the same care described in our safeguarding policy.

7. Cookies

Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we introduce simple, privacy-friendly analytics in future to understand how the site is used, we will update this policy first and keep it to the minimum needed.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, please contact joe@grassroots-intelligence.com and we will respond promptly.

9. Complaints

We hope you will always be happy with how we handle your information. If you have a concern, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version and date at the top of the page show when it was last changed.
